PinkNews Ageing Summit 2019
The Ageing Summit focused on a part of the population that is often ignored - LGBT+ older people.
As the UK’s population is ageing, LGBT+ older people have been shown to be at particular risk, suffering from loneliness and mental health issues more than others.
The Summit was an opportunity for activists, policymakers, charities and business leaders to work together in tackling the inequalities that arise for LGBT+ people in later life.
The four main areas of focus were healthcare, social Care, financial inclusion and housing. Simplifying these concepts to icons, and then to basic shapes, we created interesting graphics that followed us throughout the event.
